Navigation Class Action Lawsuit

Hello All,
As we all know that the Honda/Acura Alpine DVD Navi unit has problems with their system which causes inconviences and costly repairs. I would like all within the forum who have had this problem to post on the forum under this thread to get a general idea of who currently has an issue, who had theirs repaired, and who had theirs replaced. I will be consulting with a lawyer here in Denver, CO and for those who would like to join me in talking would be more than welcome to join. As this is a huge issue that demands either recall or replacement for free by the manufactures as a defective product.
Thanks Troy (tunit)

can anyone help to post this across all communities in this forum? as well as the if you are a member?
Thanks again and I will keep you all posted

I haven't had my '12 for too long, but it appears to be even more accurate than my '11 Lexus RX350; however, I find it easier to use the remote/mouse on the Lexus rather than on our knob.

What do you mean "as we all know?" I apparently do not.

What inconveniences and costly repairs are you alluding to?

When I had my 05 TSX the nav was flawless with zero issues. My current TL's nav is also flawless with no issues. IMHO Acura's nav is one of the better nav units on the market, especially its touch screen ones.

I've never heard of anyone having an issue with their navi that required replacement or a lengthy fix.

I guess 4G TL's aren't affected by this Navi problem(s).

2006 and 2012 TLs both have the navigation system with zero problems. First I've heard there was a problem.

I must be one of the unfortunate few...'07 TLS. Nav failed 6 weeks ago.
Disk read error with the rim of the DVD chewed up by the drive. Estimate of $1,000.00 from Acura dealer to repair/replace, including a new disk. When I shared my concerns via email, received no response from the dealer.
Found the link to Alpine. Had assistance from local body shop to pull the DVR. Sent it in with check for $358.00. Approximately 3 weeks to repair. Got it back today and Alpine included an updated disk (Not the most current version, but appreciated). Seems to be running perfectly. Total cost with shipping and $20.00 to the body shop....$400.00

2001 CL-S, 2006 Acura TL, 2007 TL-S, 2006 Acura RL, 2009 TL, 2012 TL, and NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM with any of the navigation's. So in reality the car does not have navi issues.

You should contact the OP, and join the class action lawsuit he initiated. You might be able to recoup some of the repair costs.

How is this thread even relevant to this forum for 4G TLs? Did 4G TLs ever come w/ DVD based systems? Looks like spam to me....
