Navi/Backup Cam Issue?
So this morning I started my car pulled out of my driveway. Went to hit the enter button to make the welcome message dissapear and it wasnt there. What I saw was a black screen with the yellow lines for the back up cam (I was in drive).
I pulled over went in Park and it stayed the same. I went into Reverse and the came came on WITHOUT the yellow lines. Went back to drive. Black screen yellow lines again. Shut off car turned back on all was fine. Weird |
I haven't had that happen, but every 10th time or so I put it in reverse, the yellow lines aren't there. I figure it's when I shift to R quickly and the computer gets behind/backwards/confused. Hard to imagine there's anything to 'fix' on your car, as this is a coding issue, not a sensor/shift location issue. I'd hope it does not happen very often (if it does again at all). I'm not bugged by the lines sometimes not being there, but your situation is a little different. Now if the reverse cam were on while in drive..... that's another story (then I could justify that 2.5% tint!).

Yes, you have to wait for the system to fully started. So if you don't see the yellow lines when you are in R, just wait a few seconds and you will see it show up.
