Led blew my fuse???? Lol
okay so I just recently bought a 2010 6 speed manual TL and while I was switching my trunk stock light bulb to an led one, the light just stopped working. It was working for a bit but when i tried to turn the leds little to get it to angle perfectly down I heard like a little spark like when a fly runs into one of those blue lights lol. Next thing you know trunk light doesn't work with the led or the stock bulb. Went to get into my car and noticed the led lights in the dome arnt working either. The back lights in the interior work, the lights behind all the buttons like the ones that say on/door/off are lit up but when you press to actually turn the lights on it doesn't work, and the green led light that shows your lights are setup to turn on when you open the door isn't working either. Could this just be a fuse? And why could it have happened? The led light i swapped out from my 2011 TL that I traded in, it worked perfectly fine in that one.

Could have blown a fuse. Check the ones in your driver's side panel

Keeping TL until 2029
I got these and they have been running for 2 years.

I would check the fuse.

theres a multiplex box that controls a bunch of the lighting. I accidentally messed up the passenger front door puddle light and it caused the whole right side to have issues. The dealer had to order a new multiplex box to fix it. If the fuse doesn't fix it you will need to check the location of the control box with the service manual im sure theres a thread with it available for download and you can check into that.

When I first got my 2012 TL I decided to replace the trunk light to LED. After I swapped out the regular bulb for LED the light came on then immediately turned off. Put the stock bulb back in and hope it will work again but nothing....
I went to the dealership and they had to replace the fuse box or maybe multiplex box. I was lucky it was covered under warranty and of course, I did not tell them I was changing the bulb to LED.
Lesson learned...I will not be replacing the trunk light unless there is a way to shut off the light while the trunk is opened.
