Latest GraceNote Update - little dissapointed...

Downloaded the latest GraceNote update and installed it yesterday. I was surprised to find that it did not recognize the latest Rush album. It was released over a month ago.
So I can either manually enter the Album info (which is a pain!!!) or try and wait to see if the October update will recognize it.

I'm also kind of wondering why the Acura system does not read CD-Text. Or does it and I just missed that option somewhere?

Has anyone tried to make a custom GraceNote database for the Acura system?

GraceNote is what recognizes the albums on your cars HDD when you rip it down to it. Basically gives you all the Album/Song/Artist/Genre information.

Rather tedious, but I did download the latest GraceNote update. I was hoping it would help my Droid phone to be recognized. But, no, it's still "unsupported". Anyone know how to play music/files through the HDD system? I've recorded many CDs with no problem.

This is not what the Gracenote update does. When you put a cd disc in your player, the system is set to automatically rip the cd to the HDD, so that you don't have to carry the discs around with you. It's like having a 1200 or so (not sure of the number...just a guess) disc changer.

Gracenote is the database which the system compares the disc to, so that when the cd goes in, it loads all the disc information. The updates (quarterly) are needed so that new discs are recognized.

Not sure I'd call it tedious. As the system doesn't have wifi or a data connection of its own, I find the update system to be rather convenient.

OK, so GraceNote doesn't help me with my "unsupported" message. Always good to keep learning. Any idea how to handle my Android issue, i.e. unsupported?
