I Tried Linking My Ipod And It Said "Unsupported Version"...

...Anyone have any idea what's up with this? My ipod is a few years old but is a regular ipod that I bought directly from Apple.

What version do you have?

It supports the 5G, classic, nano (1-3 gen), touch, and iphone only according to the manual.

The manual on page 255 shows the various verisons and firmware supported.

it's a simple fix.....hook your iPod up to the computer and go to Itunes....on your iPod summary page (click your iPod's name on the left hand side) there is an option to update software. simply click on it, update your software, and you are GTG/

The system isn't perfect, even once you get your iPod updated. Initially I had a few quirks with my 3G iPhone, but it will stable out as I haven't had the issue in two months now, but when it didn't recognized the iPhone, I just restarted the iPhone and it then came up.
