How long does it take to load 32gb USB?
Just bought a 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD with tech package. I initially plugged in a 2GB USB just to check functionality and it worked great. I loaded about 21GB worth of music on a 32GB USB. I get the "USB LOAD" message, and the little USB icon flashes on and off, but it is taking a excessive amount of time to load. I have about a 20 minute drive to and from work, and it still hasn't played anything of the USB yet. The questions then are:
1) how long should it take to recognize and start to play from a 32GB USB?
2) will it take that long every time, or just the first time i plug that particular USB in?
I'm assuming, of course, that don't have some sort of formatting issue or something that is actually preventing the USB from loading.

It never finished. I finally deleted everything off the USB and started loading music folders back on one at a time. So far it's working. I'm experimenting with the folder structure to see if that had anything to do with it.

UPDATE: I'm not sure why, but even though it's a 32GB USB, if I load anything more than about 12GB (or so - haven't tried to determine an exact number) onto it, it won't load. If I keep the content to under 12GB, with any combination of my music folders, it loads just fine. If I load one more folder with one more album that trips whatever some magic number is, it just sits there without loading.
Any thoughts from anyone on what the heck is going on?

Eureka! I think I finally figured it out: As it clearly states in the manual, the USB is limited to 700 folders or 15000 files. Windows doesn't count parent folders - only subfolders, so Windows was saying I only had ~275 folders. But my total number of folders was greater than 700. It had nothing to do with the file sizes at all. What I thought was an unexpected limitation on the number of GB I was loading, it was actually the folder limit I was exceeding. I've spent the last few hours moving all my individual albums into single artist folders, and am now reloading the USB. Keeping my fingers crossed that this finally does the trick.
