How to get Navi to not face north, I give up!

How to get Navi to not face north, I give up!
Seriously, this navi is frustrating. Looked at the manual, which even though it is 185 pages, with the car on and even with directions cannot get to the screen to do this. Appreciate any help

Page 62 of the 2010 nav manual.
Push in on the Interface Dial when you are on the map screen, and select Map Information. Select Northup or Heading-up, or say “Display heading up” or “Display north up.”
