How to clear phone and nav data?
I can't imagine I'm the first person with this problem but I searched a ton and couldn't find anything. I bought a used TL and it still has all of the previous owner's phone and nav data stored in the system. Is there a way to clear this information all at once? I'm surprised the Acura dealer didn't wipe the system considering there are personal phone numbers and addresses stored in there.

i dont remember step by step but if if you to menu or info and select options 1 or options 2 you can follow the prompts for factory reset so i cannot walk you through as im not in the car. You can also look at your index pages in the car manual and im sure it will be there and clarified good luck. if the previous owner saved some good music you might want to keep some of the music just saying though its all up to you.

In my Nav Manual (as opposed to the Owners Manual), the process for clearing data is laid out on page 120. That's for my '09, but I suspect the manuals don't change much from year to year. Are you looking to do something other than this?
Having said that, my wife just bought a used 2012 Pilot, and even though the previous owner cleared the personal date, the PIN (for using the "Home" function) was still live. Fortunately, the seller texted me the PIN, so I was good, otherwise I would have had to get the dealer to reset it.
It seems to me that if the precess in the manual is not what you need (or isn't working for some reason), if you bought from a dealer, then bring it back. They'll take care of it, especially once you voice your concerns about privacy.
There's also a lesson here...clear your data yoruself before trading in. Don't count on a dealer to do it for you.
