I am trying to place a call through the HFL by speaking the phone number.

I press the phone button, then the voice button and say "Call 123-4567"

The HFL does not understand when I say the word "call".

If I say "Dial" it takes me to the Dial menu item on the gps screen.

On my 3G TL I could simply press the voice button and say "call 123-4567" and the system would repeat my command and place the call.

I am using a BB9530 (Storm) - same phone I was using on the 3G.

I assume I am doing something wrong so any help is appreciated.

I can place calls through the phone book in the car and using voice tags, but I cannot speak a phone number and get it to work.

I believe you need to hit the HFL button, then hit the voice command button and say "dial 123-4567" don't pause when you give the voice command, just fire off the word dial and the numbers.

On you old car you would have been able to use dial or call to make a call on the new system you lack that flexibility.
