HFL Incoming Call Alert?

Hey everyone, I have a question in regards to how the system notifies you of an incoming call. In my 05' you could change it from the tone, to a voice that would say."You have an incoming call". The tone bugs and it’s a little too loud. I wanted to change it to the voice notification but I’m starting to think there is no longer this option.

I also had an 05 tl with the female voice for incoming calls. Now have an 09 TL navi - I tried to find a way to change it with no luck... That ring sucks...

The ring really is annoying and dated sounding. It reminds me of a old land line phone I used to own, with a frickin' nasty loud ass ringtone. Ugh.

Thanks guys, the people at the HFL hotline didn't know and were going to get back to me, never did. Yea, not only does it bug, but it does sound like a 100 year old phone.

I wonder if the ringtone is a Wav file. It almost sounds like a sampling of an old office phone. It would have been "advanced" if you could upload your own tone via the hdd. Perhaps there is a service menu or something like that.

It sounds like a problem that the Audi folks are having. I don't know what phone you have connected to the HFL but if it is an iPhone they were saying there is something missing in the BT profile and that is why you are getting the generic ring. On the Audi it is really loud and cannot be adjusted - almost like a shreiking loud office phone.
