Question Frozen Navi Display - Help please

So I have a 2011 TL SH w/Tech and 18k mi. This issue started yesterday with no prior issues. The nav screen starts up fine, the disclaimer screen then comes up and I can not use the selector to press "OK" anymore. Eventually the screen times out and then the wallpaper stays up there. It still works for the back-up camera, but I can not make calls due to the disclaimer screen. There's been 2 times after driving for about 10 mins I was finally able to get the screen to respond and it worked normally. Any ideas on what would cause this? I'm trying to avoid a trip to the dealership if possible.

Not really, it did it for about 2-3 days and suddenly it's back to normal. Not sure of the cause at all unfortunately

Yea Edward, weird I know. If it happens again I'll just end up taking it to the dealer. After searching on here I didn't find any info regarding it so I was kind of screwed. I don't think it was a hardware issue because the selector seemed to have work just fine.

This thing is acting up again, I'm wondering if it has something to do with the heat. It's been in the 90's around here the past few days and thats when it acts up. It's only the selector that isn't responsive though. When the wallpaper is up if I hit any of the steering wheel controls they bring back the disclaimer screen. I just can't get past that part because of the selector not working. Same thing happens again, 10 mins or so later it just happens to work.

Start the vehicle, and at the disclaimer screen use the navigation display hard buttons:

Press and hold the MAP/GUIDE, MENU, and CANCEL, buttons for about 3 seconds. The display screen goes directly to the Select Diagnosis Items menu shown.

- Self-Diagnosis Mode (runs the automatic diagnosis of the navigation system)

- Detail Information & Setting (Can help you to manually diagnose the navigation system)

Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use Hard Key test under Unit Check.

Just updating everyone on this in case it happens to anyone else. The system froze again and of course when I got it to the dealer it was working fine but they did a hard reset and I thought it was fixed. Worked great for about 2-3 days and then it froze for about 4 days straight, called my dealer and they told me to bring it in asap and leave the car running so they could see. Once I got there I spoke with the service rep who then brought out the service manager and he seemed puzzled too, said he hasn't seen something like that. They gave me a 14 MDX as a loaner and a few days later I get a call that they ended up giving me a whole new system. So far so good! Thanks to those who offered advice.

Where is the "Menu" button?

My control panel looks like this, and doesn't seem to have a "menu" button.
