Every Contact Duplicated After Phonebook Import?
Today I deleted my initial phonebook imported flawlessly from my 1G iPhone in February and imported my new phonebook from my new 3G-S iPhone. Every single contact is duplicated. Two of each contact. There were several changes so I know that it wasn't just one phonebook being superimposed on top of the other. I deleted again and imported again with the same result. Does anyone have any theory as to why this happened? Also, I would go through and delete the duplicates, but I can't figure out how to delete individual contacts...help! TIA

I had that happen on my driod phone. I dont know if its the same with you guys but I found that on my phone, each entry was dupicated 4-5 times for some reason (They were referred to as linked contacts). When i edited and removed the dups on the actual phone, i was able to reload the address book into the TL with only 1 entry for each person.

I had the same problem on my 3G(2004). Deleted from the car a couple of times then re-imported the phone book(Motorola phone) and came up with duplicates both times. I saw somewhere that you should give the phone a "hard" reboot, turn the phone off, remove the battery, wait several minutes, reinstall the battery and import again. This worked for me, after doing that it imported correctly with no duplicates. I didn't have the duplicate problem with my 4G(2009)
