Entering Unverified Area
Just got a '10 TL SH-AWD Tech. The dealership is about an hour and a half from my home. I take the Interstate all the way until I turn off to go to my house and the car spouts out.. "Entering Unverified Area"! Every time I drive onto a purple road on the map it says this and it appears that there is simply no way to stop it except to turn the volume off completely in the setup menu. However then you don't get any voice feedback during voice commands or navigation.
Does anybody know if this can be disabled?

I don't believe theres a way to turn off the "unverified area" voice because I would imagine its part of just giving you directions. You can turn off the voice feedback on commands/audio stuff without affecting voice directions.

Thanks Omnimax, I turned the voice feedback off! Thankfully that can be turned off. The part about the unverified area message is that I am not being routed by the nav system when this happens. It is just in regular display mode with no routing gudiance activated. ( I know where I live! lol)

I have that same problem and it drives me nuts! I turned the voice command feature off and turned the volume down but now I don't get the voice when I need to make a call...I may have to turn the volume up again and deal with this annoying voice.

Entering unverifie area solved!
I figured out how to shut that annoying "entering unverified area" off! On your screen click info, set up and then volume turn volume of it will completely mute your GPS, however this does include voice guidance, but if you aren't taking a trip and aren't using your gps this will turn that annoying thing off! When you need your voice for guidance you can always go back and turn up the volume!
Hope this helps!
