Droid Hands Free Link problem

2010 Nav TL with Android 6300 HTC...Phone paired fine...downloaded phone book into system fine...works fine for a few minutes but without exception on 15 min or more trip the Hands free link disconnects for no reason...only solution is to pull over, turn off engine, restart auto and phone automatically reconnects for a bit till it disconnects on it's own again...very frustrating...have tried hard reboot of phone (battery out and reinstall)..have tried re-pairing....have tried dealer who ordered "part??" (new hfl component ???)...problem persists....Any ideas???

I've got a Droid 1 and found that I could get the phone to pair and got my address book installed....but the phone would not connect for voice......turns out all I needed to do was to change the radio setting under Bluetooth from random to fixed for the link code (exact wording is in a thread I posted about a week ago). That same solution may be what you need to do.

That is indeed the solution. Confirmed working with my new Motorola Atrix 4G. Weird though, that the iPhone was able to handle random PINs.

Is this the Bluetooth settings somewhere in the TL, or on the phone?

In the Bluetooth-menu of the TL. The option under Pair Phone

Sorry for delayed response...In your TL,

1. hit the phone talk button on the steering wheel
2. select Phone Setup
3. select Setup Bluetooth
4. select Pass-Key
5. select Fixed instead of the default which is random.

This should give you voice blue tooth capacity. Your phone will pair without doing the above but you can't talk on your phone until you do this.
