Question Audio volume varies wildly

2014 TL Tech - experiencing sudden changes in audio volume, as if the system is trying to adjust for changes in ambient sound when it shouldn't. I strongly suspect the automatic volume adjustment has gone wacky on me. Does anyone have suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

I would be happy to disable the feature altogether if it's possible. Does anyone have info on how this system works? Is there a microphone or something that measures ambient noise or does it react to engine RPMs?

I'm at a loss as to where to start.

Thanks.

My 2009 TSX has the speed-sensitive volume control (SSV?) and all I had to do was cycle through the EQ Settings on the radio and turn it OFF. I don't know if it's the same on the TL, but our radio has the button with the music note/speaker symbols next to the volume/power button. Press that to cycle through the EQ Settings.
