Anyone had this speaker issue?
Hey guys, I bought this second hand 2009 TL AWD tech from acura dealer. After about 2 month, I heard the front passenger side speaker rattles and sounds blown SOMETIMES. I brought it to the dealer twice but unluckily, the blown sound did not come out during their inspection. However, the manager was nice and replaced the speaker and now the blown sound is gone.
Now the speaker behind driver seat(rear left door speaker) has the same problem as the passenger side. It SOMETIMES sounds blown, and i dunno what is the real problem.
Does anyone ever had this problem? I played a few same songs. Those same songs sound blown sometimes and sounds normal other times from that one speaker. I tried the sound test from the service manual but nothing came wrong. The dealer checked and it seemed secured as well.
I am really stressed about this. Does anyone know about this or has a solution?
Thank you in advanced! (its not just me either, my friends hears the same!)

I've had the same issues with multiple speakers so you're not the only one. I recall reading on here about a bulletin out for loose speaker holders or whatever. You might want to search that out.
Quite annoying for the most part since the ELS system is great, but apparently fragile when you rock it...

Take it to the dealer. They can run a test. If they just did the "ear test", they weren't doing it right. They have ways they can test it by pushing certain sounds to each speaker.
You are under warranty. They will replace any speaker you have that has a problem until you aren't.
And, yes. I have had at least 3, if not 4 speakers replaced.

Like others have said take it back to the dealer if you are still under warranty, if you don't have warranty then and audio shop, since you have an intermittent problem playing the same song it may be a loose connection
There is an audio test cd that will take your speakers through the full sound range from low frequency (hz) to high frequency (kHz) which can also pinpoint any problems with the speaker between ranges.

My Acura is my Constant.
The TLs are synonymous with this problem. I bought my TL used and had this very same problem. I was going to take it to the dealer but decided to replace the speakers myself with some infinity's and i am so glad I did. I called the dealer and confirmed it would not void the warranty as long as I did not cut the wires he also confirmed that the TLs did indeed have a speaker problem and they were replacing them w/ 50,000 miles or less. Anyway before going through the dealer just check out my vid on my replacement it is worth doing and very simple.

Common problem, your speakers are failing. Mine did the same as yours. Sounded better some days than others. Worse when cooler.
They suck, very cheap. Car is still under warranty but I didn't want a new speaker installed only to fail later.
I installed Infinity Kappa's in the front doors and rear deck and a powered sub in the trunk. I'm very happy now with the sound.
See all the other posts about these speakers failing.
