Amp Wiring Diagram

Hello everyone! I was wanting to splice the preamp wires into my aftermarket amplifier. Just wanted clarification for which wires I need to splice and feed into my amplifier for the signal (the preout wires are straight forward). I've attached the wiring diagram.
1) This wiring diagram is for a 2011 TL... I have a 2009 TL sh awd without Nav so the wiring should still be the same? 2) Terminal 2 and 11 is front left speaker. Terminal 6 and 15 is front right speaker. Terminal 7 and 16 is the center speaker. Terminal 3 and 12 is for the subwoofer. Is all this correct? 3) I know there's still the terminals with the "surround" description. Would this be the tweeters and rear speakers? If not, which ones are they? 4) I was reading that you need a line driver for the preamp signal before it gets plugged into the aftermarket amp (I will need to use a LOC so it plugs into my aftermarket amp), is this necessary? 5) The speakers in my car give out a constant hiss (even with the car turned off and no audio source turned on). This leads me to believe it's the OEM amp that is producing that hissing sound. Has anyone tried fixing this issue, was it the actual amp or the ground? Or some other reason? There's quite a few questions but any help would be appreciated to point me in the right direction. |
And one more question. I ordered tweeters with a 3ohm resistance (the oem tweeters are 4ohm). Will there be issues because of this? I heard there's a crossover or something before the line going into the tweeters.

4G Head Unit wiring
Replacing factory head unit with Aftermarket on Non Nav 2013 TL.
Can anyone provide connector wiring descriptions of the factory head unit. Is there any issue using the preamp outputs from the aftermarket unit and driving the factory amp? Thanks |

So Ceapy, I have a 2012 TL Advanced with Nav. Wondering if your factory amp and mine are installed in the same place. 2011 is 4th Gen correct? If so, where was your amp located? I have to pull mine out and have no idea where it is. Thanks for any help you can give me.
