AcuraZine Waze Group

Made a group on the Waze app, Acurazine (unofficial).

iPhone
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/waze...323229106?mt=8

Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...com.waze&hl=en

Free app, check out the description. i think its a helpful app and we can know if we see another Acurazine member or not. i posted it in the regional section for NJ, but for Acuraziners in other states could set it up for their location.

Just a heads up.

Waze/Bluetooth Connection

One nice thing about Waze is that you can turn on Bluetooth within the App and the voice directions come directly through the sound system. The Waze system completely overrides the entertainment audio (unlike the Acura Nav) so you won't miss a direction.

Doesn't the Acura Nav voice directions override the entertainment audio?

Well, in my case, the Acura Nav turns down the volume of the audio from whatever source is playing. When I use Waze with BlueTooth audio, it silences the audio, speaks the directions, then the audio come back on.

Waze is a great program, but I don't see the group, at least not in the Google version.

I do see a Acura RSX group.

^^^^^Each group is area specific. I won't see MoAbbas group cause he's in Jersey and im in Oklahoma. If you don't see an "Acurazine" group, you'll probably have to create one.

im on a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, we have an app called GPS status and tool box which fixes up any GPS issues that may happen. it refreshes GPS sat info every so often, see if iphones have an app like that.

Waze won't communicate via Bluetooth.

ExGMan-

I turned on Bluetooth within the app & have my phone attached via Bluetooth, but I can't get it to override the audio; did you do anything else?

Peace,

Nick

which car model do you have that this works on?
I have a 2006 TSX and a galaxy S5, and I can't get this to work - this is exactly what I want it to do... any ideas for work arounds?
