2012 TL Advance falses Valentine One

The radar waves emitted by the TL's BSI system are causing interference issue with the V1.

What version is your V1? The newest versions have TMF2 and Junk K Fighter which seems to significantly cut down on radar based adaptive cruise control falses even the ones emitted from the car you're driving.

I'm not using any V1, not until the Valentine radar/laser detector is able to prevent being interfered by my own TL.

Add chevy to the list...had a newer impala drive past me this AM...my BEL went nuts with a constant K band alert...when I passed her again I saw the blindspot indicator turn off. She happened to put her turn signal on right as the blindspot indicator lit up again (which I guess causes it to flash) and I got hit with a full alert constant K band again

I bought and returned the last one a couple of weeks ago. It still constantly falses due toe the BLS system in my 2012 TL.

Update 7_13_16
I bought a new V1 last week and sure enough my TL Advance set off the rear K alert constantly. I called Valentine and they are aware of the Acura BSI issue. They had me go into K Band Muting (on the V1Connection app) and turn "on" K-band rear mute. Then they had me go into Special and change the Valentine One Mode to Advanced Logic then save that profile to the V1. The detector shows big L, the BSI does not cause any audible or visual alerts. The down side is most rear K band alerts are also squelched. Ka and laser still alert all directions. The V1 is pretty quiet driving on the interstate. Great little unit. Hope this helps others.

The firmware isn't going to stop any of the blind side detector issues from popping up. Some people have noticed that turning on TSR helps, but it doesn't help for BSI/BSD systems. I've been in contact with Escort for my 9500ix and they told me they'll update their subscribers when they have a new system to "beat" the BSD annoyance. For now I just notice when I'm driving next to/infront of a Hyundai, Acura, Honda, Ford, GMC, etc w/ this system and disregard it manually. I don't think there's a better solution.
Turning off K-band does "work" but you leave yourself wide open while you're running a ~$500 detector at 50% strength =(

Do your jurisdictions use K band?! police around here and highway patrol only use Ka and Laser so I have no problem turning off K-band. I had it on for the first month of ownership and it drove me crazy. Turned it off years ago and haven't looked back since.

Unfortunately I drive all over the place =( my car's got nearly 80k miles on it now (2012). I go through towns/highways in NY/PA which use K-band all the time, and a few places on Rt 95 in NC. I live in NJ and every cop here uses Ka/Laser and they're smart doing IOs.

I agree wholeheartedly, Blaze9. BSM and Adaptive Cruise control are proliferating wildly. My Escort 9500 was so noisy I ended up turning it off. The issue I had with the new V1 was my own BSM were constantly setting off my RD. All I ended up sacrificing is rear K band. Still have it out the front, which will catch reflected rear K off highway signs, trucks, etc. I do feel that the radar detector manufacturers have been painfully slow reacting to the proliferation of these false alerts. If they don't get it together soon their market will shrink to nada.
