2010 Acura TL. Adding amp to factory system

I have a 2010 Acura TL. Has anyone added a aftermarket amp and subs to this vehicle. How difficult is this process?

not too dificult...like any other sound system install.
you could use the high level inputs or use a Line out Converter

With my 3G, I took the lines directly from the subwoofer to the amp. I'd assume you could do the same with the 4G. I haven't gone there since I'm plenty happy with the 4G's bass.

Adding an aftermarket Amp & Sub is simple. You can use an Amp with High or Speaker level inputs and take a feed directly from the stock sub.

Or you can use a Line out converter eg AudioControl LC2 to convert the speaker level feed taken from your Stock Sub to RCA (Low Level) if you purchased an Amp with RCA Input & Output only. In either scenario you will need to run a Power wire from the battery to your Amp location.

Some Amps can be triggered remotely when it senses a feed from the Head Unit or if you do not purchase an Amp with this option then you need to run a trigger (Remote) wire from the fuse box.

This is just a general idea and a basic install which can add a lot of depth to the system, of course there is a lot more you can do and have an awesome system while keeping the Stock Head Unit.

It's simple once you figure out the game plan. I remember when I tore my car apart and installed my system... I definitely don't miss running wire that's for sure haha. Take your time and do it right the first time and forget about it.

If interested, see my post in this thread for the wiring diagrams for the plugs going into the stock amp:
