'09 TL SH AWD non-tech navi swap

Need some help guys!!!

I have an sh without tech package and I need to know of I want to put the navi camera and stuff what do I need to do the swap and would I have any problems doing it?? So far from what I know I need the screen, stereo console, steering wheel and rearview camera and the drive and stuff but where is that located?

Basically what do I need to do the full swap for a non tech to a full tech?

It possible but would cost you $$$ and hassle with wiring...

Long time ago I had 02 TL-s w/out navi... wanted to install myself, after figuring out total price, parts and time it required, I decided not to deal with it...

Its going to be too much of an effort, where are you going to get the entire center stack from? The only way to do it somewhat cost effectively is to find a scrapped TL with navi. I would suggest to go aftermarket

already discussed, it is too labor intensive.. i think you need to swap the whole dashboard to make the navi fit right.. get a suction cup mount and call it a day.

This guy did awesome job of converting non-navi to navi on his 2nd gen MDX.

Not an easy DIY, but if you have time and the skills, why not.

Way too much involved, however not impossible. I believe you will need multiple new interior wiring harnesses, new dashboard, steering wheel, navi head unit, navi screen, etc, gps antenna. That would be just for navi. If your converting the push button stuff, new door handles, keys, steering wheel lower garnish, trim that has the push to start buttons, the radios for the remote key fobs, the trunk deck lid with the button to open and backup camera, the wiring harness(es) running to the front.

Then you get to the tear down process, taking a dash out seems to be almost a half day ordeal, you'd be removing all that, ( if your doing a leather swap to the seats to convert them to the perforated Malino leather then you'll need leather for each ) remove the seats, back seats, carpet, headliner, decklid, strip out the trunk, I could go on and on. It'll be a lot of work. And $$$$
