Will an elliptical machine fit in the TL?

I'm thinking of getting a Schwinn Elliptical machine. The box is huge and heavy, and I realize it won't fit in the TL as packaged. Yes, I know this is where a SUV is handy.

I would take my wife's RX330, but we are both very busy and run different schedules.

If I take the elliptical parts out of the box, will it fit in the TL's trunk and rear seat?

Anyone who has actually tried to transport an elliptical machine in the TL, let me know. Thanks.

Our TL's trunk space is tight as is so trying to fit an elliptical might be really tough. If you can, take a pic.

I barely managed to squeeze my Costco goods into the trunk yesterday with AWD model's reduced trunk space. Even if you can fit some in the trunk and some inside the vehicle, don't risk damaging leather trimmed interior. Just swap your car with the wife's and call it a day. I use my wife's MDX and/or utility trailer to move anything over-sized. I miss having a mini-van a few times a year.

Another alternative is to rent a truck from Home Depot or U-haul for a few hours. Just a thought.

Below is the link to the elliptical I'm interested in:

http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-100326-430-Elliptical-Machine/dp/B00D4LEEY0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390518422&sr=8-2&keywords=schwinn+430+elliptical

I also do Costco runs, and I agree, after getting toilet paper, boxes of printer paper, etc. it BARELY fits in the TL.

My TL is a 6MT and she can't drive stick, otherwise good idea.

I might have to ask a friend or have it shipped to the house.

Sometimes I really wish I bought a MDX or the 1G RDX....

Maybe, but you'd have to crouch real low to use it.

Thanks, delivery is likely the better option. Will also prevent from breaking my back.

I'd rather rent a pickup truck for the day than risk scratching my car or ripping the leather.

+1, learned that the hard way with my 3G. I treated it like a moving trunk and my rear seats got torn and a bunch of trim was scuffed.

About that elliptical, it's so boring to do cardio indoors, let alone in your home with nothing to entertain the eyes!

Ok docboy, just saw this post. You may have already got the elliptical, but here's my two cents. I bought the same model (earlier revision) of the elliptical a year or so ago, and had it delivered to me. The motor portion of the elliptical is really heavy, so I don't recommend trying to move the box it's in on your own. Get it delivered.
