What Would Round Out And Freshen Up The TL/Acura Line?...
A 6MT to be sure. But more than that, a really sexy, coupe version of the TL. I'm thinking A5 material here, not a faux "4 door coupe" a'la the VW CC. Essentially a freshened, up-to-date CL jam-packed with technology and built with the bullet-proof relability that is Acura's trademark.
And, of course a completely reinvented RL that's either RWD with an AWD option or just RWD. And it should have at least a 330hp engine. I'm thinking a supercharged or twin turbo version of the 3.5 would easily put it up in that range.

I think most people agree about the need for a good looking, SH-AWD sports coupe. Styling is even more critical for coupes than for sedans, so Acura would need an exterior design that is much better than what it has produced recently.

But when you put it in the Car Talk forum, it doesn't take long before it's polluted with Acura-bashing comments, instead of something more constructive.
I personally have a few things that I would like to see.
- Honda, according to Fukui, is working on a type of double clutch tranny. Hopefully this gets into some Acura models, if not all.
- DOHC version of the J series. This probably doesn't help much in terms of city driving. But I'd expect the redline would go up by 500-1000rpm, and gain 10% of power. Better yet, introduce DI, and A-VTEC.
- Hopefully they will resume the NSX-successor project and bring it out soon.
- SH-AWD TSX with 6MT.

Three Wheelin'
I think the 4G in its current form is just too big and heavy to make a good performing coupe. I think for the 5G, it may very well be possible. I like how the upcoming new Cadillac CTS coupe turned out. I hope Acura takes a similar approach.
