What can I expect to pay for a 4G SH AWD 6 speed ?

Current 3g owner here---my beloved 3G 6 speed is getting up there in age. No problems wiht the car at all---but it is almost 7 years old so it may be time to upgrade. I have wanted a Type S for awhile now but I grow tired of wating for a good one to pop up. So I am turning my attention to the 4g SHAWD 2011 TL--6 speed of course. I dont like the bland styling of the 2012...so 2011 it will be for me. Has anyone ever gone from a Tl type S to the 4g awd 6 speed ?
Please let me know what to expect price wise...I think I am sold on silver/black...or possibly black on black.

You should check out the 4G TL Owner's Sign-In to see what people have been paying before TTL.

I just made the switch from a 2004 6MT to the 2011 SH-AWD. I agree that the 2012 is too vanilla, so I snapped up one of the 6MT's still available, and I don't regret it at all. The driving experience upgrade from FWD to AWD is amazing.
You should be able to pay under 40K - if you act fast. There aren't many 2011's left.

As a previous poster noted, the 4G sign in will give you some info. Also, look at TrueCar.com and Edmunds. They'll give you pricing info for your locale based on a larger sample of transactions.

Good luck and let us know what you end up with.

Cool

I have an AWD drive Auto paid $37,800 including wheel locks and all weather mats in Jan. Buy before Feb 28, that is when the $2000 dealer incentive disappears and so does the 0.9 % financing. Good luck

I have a 2011 AWD Crystal Black Pearl with Ebony in 6MT. It's probably the best decision I've ever made. I love how it's sporty yet luxury at the same time. I paid 38,236 on 01/11/11 with locks and all weather mats.

I dont get it...

The invoice on the AWD 2011 TL is 36,112---and there is currently 3500 of incentives. 36112 -3500 = 32,612---
I have never paid more than invoice for any car. Includng my tl.
Why are the quotes so high ?

I believe the invoice on the 2010 and 11's are ~37k
Are the incentives still active? I know most dealers are trying to get a bit of a premium for the 6MT's since they are hard to find. (couple grand more than the autos).

I would say if you can get it for 36-37k that is a killer deal - truecar says best price in my area is 38k.

True car is showing an average price paid for the 6MT (2011) in my area as 39,111. This all depends on location, and it does seem the 6MTs are commanding a small premium over the ATs. I think anything close to 38 flat is a pretty good price. If you can beat that, you've done very well.

Inovice is showing as $40,692. Dealer cost is $37,414.

Good luck.

At least one of my local dealers has already told I should expect to pay full sticker since they are in his words "imposssible to come by."

Yeah, that's the usual line. Check on AutoTrader - you can see how many 6MTs there are in inventory within varying radii (in miles) from your location. (You can also tell how long they've been in stock by noting the inventory or VIN numbers - may give you more bargaining position. That said, there are only 2 currenly within 200 miles from me).

Yea, I wouldn't say "impossible". When I bought mine right when the 6MT came out and Acura of Boston had 3 of them. I was able to get them down to ~40ish i think, which at the time was a pretty standard deal.

But now I would imagine if you got for anything under ~39k that is a good deal. Under ~38k - that would be impressive.

Of course, he's going to say that... whether you pay full sticker or not is up to you.... I wouldn't
