went to dealer and saw it in person
after seeing all the pictures and hating the design of the new TL i was actually surprised when i saw it in person. first impression was the grill is fugly, but that i alreadt knew from pics. however the design of the rear and of the body is great. it is much bigger then the 3G which is a plus and minus. the interior blew me away. definitely the most interior ive sat in. controls that a in perfect reach and perfectly positioned. stock wheels arent the best bust some nice 19's or 20's would be awesome. the salesman i was talking to said the first thing he would do to it is change up the grill and throw some new shoes on it, and i agree with that 100%. overall very impressed. go see it in person before you call it ugly, cause i did the same thing and take it back. they had 3 on the lot on fri, and today as i was leaving the last one was sold.
btw, checked out the new TSX with sport package and all available features and upgrades. that car is so sick.

I am not due for an oil change for another couple months, (I'm at 60% oil life) I am really wanting to go check out the new TL in person also, but I kinda want to wait for the SH-AWD to hit showroom floors so I can go check it out right away.

Heavy, I did the same thing yesterday. It's interesting to hear that your salesperson would have also changed the grill. I saw a Tech Package TL yesterday and thought the interior was interesting. It seemed alittle stiff to me, sitting inside. But maybe that was because it was brand new.
The grill still didn't appeal to me. I'm also not a fan of the turn signal/driving light combo either. Seeing it in person did not change my mind.

carlos- i wasnt due for anything i just drove to the dealer to check out all the hype. i left the dealer my number and told him to call me the second they get a SH-AWD model
steven- the interior obviously just needs to be broken in a little bit, but still very comfertable. what is this turning signal/ driving light combo i keep hearing about?

Check out the front nose of the car. To me, it seemed awkward because the turn signal light above the driving light is longer. To my eye, it seems like the smaller object should sit above or on top of the larger object (the turn signal). So to me, they seemed reverse, giving the corners of the nose an off balance look. Maybe almost like the driving lights were an afterthought.
