Thought I'd share this in case someone in the NH/Northeast area was looking for a low mileage TL. Here's a link to my local dealer who has a '12 TL SH-AWD Tech with 11k miles on it. Looks very clean. They're asking a healthy price, but it's something you wouldn't normally find after 7 model years....
That's amazing to have that low mileage. I sold my '13 TL Advance in July with 36k miles on it and bought a '16 TLX Advance. I like the TLX but I must say I do miss my TL. I loved that car. 4G TLs were/are massively underrated in my opinion. They were not the best looking cars Acura ever built but they were great driving cars. I never took issue with the looks of the car personally. Anyway, if I were in the market, that '12 TL with 11k miles looks like a pretty sweet deal.
My wife's '12 TL SH-AWD Tech has 50,500 miles on it. It looks and drives like new. I always thought it was low mileage for its age, but it certainly pales in comparison to 36k miles or even 11k miles... I occasionally ask her if she wants to upgrade to a TLX, but the phrase "pry it out of my cold dead fingers" keeps coming up. So I'm guessing she'll be keeping it for a while... :-)

Probably best to let her keep it; by all accounts the current TLX is a bit underwhelming.

It's interesting you mention this. Years ago, my wife had upgraded from a 91 Integra to a 93 Legend - and she was absolutely in love with that car. The legend was a perfect size, had outstanding balance, and was a dream to drive. Near the end of the lease, when she was planning to buy it out, it developed an intermittent electrical problem that turned out to be a leak in the A-pillar on the fuse block. The dealer, along with Acura, determined the solution was to move her to a new lease at zero incremental cost to her - and that movement was to a 96 RL (the first year of the RL's introduction, after the Legend was discontinued). Comparatively speaking, where she loved the Legend, she hated the RL. It was a very different car at a much higher price point....
So - to your statement saying the RLX is the successor to the TL - not really. Yes, it's a step up luxury-wise, and has the sport hybrid SH-AWD config. But it is much bigger than the TL and drives a LOT differently - and is about 20K more expensive than the TL/TLX is, apples to apples. We had an RLX sport hybrid loaner for a few days last fall, and while it's a very nice car, it's not ticking the same boxes that a TL SH-AWD does in terms of driving experience (as well as price). Similarly to the sporty feel of the Legend vs the RL, the absolute slot-car feel and "grunt" of the TL is not replicated by either the TLX or RLX. Maybe it's just that Acura is pushing the needle to luxury further than a TL owner might want - but the TL is in a category that is not really replicated by any other Acura model at this point (my wife's opinion that she shared with me after driving both newer cars).
Thus the reason she's not giving hers up... Happy wife, happy.....

Andy I agree with you on certain things about the RLX. Funny thing before my TL I had my eyes on a 2014 Acura RLX with the all wheel steering. My girlfriend immediately told me it was a boat of a car before I could even test drive it. I stood next to a 2018 TLX it was just too small for me. I just feel like Acura took a step backwards but maybe since the 10th generation Honda Accord is out they’ll use that body style on the next generation TLX.

Funny thing, many of us feel Acura took a step backwards when they moved from the 3G TL to the 4G TL, and again when they moved to the TLX.

Hopefully the next generation TLX will be a big improvement with the rumored Turbo V6, Horseshoez. I was watching a review on the newer RLX. Doesn’t the hood look the same as the 4G TL?

One can only hope, then there is the issue of the transmission; even a powerful V6T will be a big yawn for me if you can only buy the car with two pedals under the dash. That said, if a TLX V6T with a 6-Speed manual hits the market, I'll be all over that like stink on poop.

I’m pretty sure they’ll use the 10 speed automatic that’s in the new Accord. The new Mazda 6 Signature Series has a 2.5 turbo with 250Hp and 310 pounds of torque talk about power! lol Too bad I’m not a Mazda guy.

Don't forget, the new Accord is sporting a 6-Speed manual as well. The Mazda would be great, but it too is unavailable with three pedals under the dash. Oh well, looks like a Genesis G70 is in my future.

one thing thst i noticed that concerned me was that the car got new set of tires already. 11k and new tires would lead me to believe it MaY have been drivin pretty rough. I have 23k on mine and the tires have plenty of tread left. Would anyone else be concerned???

I wouldn't be concerned at all. Why? With so few miles it is an odds on bet tire rot set in and the sidewalls were good and cracked. Little know fact, being driven exercises the rubber and keeps is supple which in turn holds off tire rot.

I agree - age is the culprit here. My wife's 2012 TL had tires manufactured the 36th week of 2011, and while they still had usable tread this spring, I replaced them since the rubber was getting really hard and you could see the initial signs of sidewall checking. Definitely better safe than sorry in this regard....
