Cool Trying to kill the "TL Vs. ??" There are so many threads like that.

I found this site carsort.com while comparing the MDX with the Jeep Overland, Lexus RX350 and the Audi Q7.

Damn this site has a wealth of information that allows you to compare head to head with other manufactures. Some people here ask questions about Acura cars versus other cars but don't realize that some of us might be partial to Acura even more than the comp. Hence we all have Acuras and love them.

I need a larger car and I am looking for one that has everything at the right price and high MPG. But was surprised on how awesome the MDX is. The bad though is the MPG the good - EVERYTHING ELSE! -.

Use carsort.com to compare any car to another.

I did same comparison before buying my MDX ... going from Jeep GC.
Also used Car Driver and Edmunds.
Good to compare but Awsomeness is when you drive it
and few comparisons due it justice.

What made you change from a Jeep GC to the MDX?

Agree.

The best solution is to merge them all into one single thread like "Acura TL vs. all other autos", since almost all of the "TL vs. xxx" threads ended up repeating the same talks over and over and over again.

Listen I am partial to Acuras and I know everyone has their own opinion but to say that a new MDX is a better choice than the new 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland is just crazy talk. The Jeep is one of the most luxurious, sporty, capable, fun to drive, roomy, and inexpensive SUVs out right now. It is better looking, cheaper, more off road capable, has a nicer interior, and is more technologically advanced than any MDX.

I couldn't agree more, the Jeep/MDX comparison is just plain dumb on every account. AWD and 4-Wheel drive vehicles are night and day in their capabilties. As far as Chrysler/Jeep, they have come a long way in quality, finish, and reliabilty although some people are stuck in the past with old reliabilty reports. It seems now the Japanese cars are starting to fall to the way side as of late with imperfections like rattles, paint match, among a few things I've read and talking to friends and family.

AWD was placed in SUVs for the grocery getter's and children fetching moms. Bascially AWD was placed in SUVs to save gas and cheaper to build being many of these SUVs never touched dirt other then what a dump truck might have dropped on the roadway.
