Hey guys,

Been lurking for quite some time on the TL forums and decided to jump the gun and go for the TL. I've owned a 05 TSX and sold it for the 12 RDX SH-AWD which was a considerable upgrade, but now I'm sad that I'm lacking a bit of power and the feel of hugging the road. Don't get me wrong, the RDX is a hell of an SUV but I think I miss the roots of my TSX.

So my question is, should I trade my RDX for the TL? Dealer is offering me $33.5k for a CPO '13 CBP/Ebony TL SH-AWD Tech (12k miles) and matching Carmax's offer for what my RDX is worth. (Around $18-22k)

Should I take the offer or wait for the TLX?

Given that the TLX will be revealed in less than 5 days....I would wait. Don't get me wrong, the TL is a great car but the TLX might be a heck of a machine (I did say "might").

The problem with the TL is that its getting at the end of its cycle and not as technologically advanced as the TLX will be. You may regret not having at least waited to see it and make an informed decision.

Do you think with the revelation of the TLX the 4g TL's prices would drop?

It will if the TLX is well received and people decide to wait to get that model instead.

If the TLX is a disaster, people will flock to buy the TL and that may create a supply and demand problem and allow the dealers to limit the deals available to them.

Given the fact that you're already going to take a hit on your MDX trade/sale, I would say go for a gently used TL. Just my 2 cents...

Keep what you have for another year or two unless you got a ridiculous deal on the RDX. Trading in that quick usually isn't a great idea.

Proud new owner of a CPO CBP/ebony 13' TL! Jumped the gun and bought It today. Pics posted tomorrow since its dark out. Dealership gave me more than what Carmax quoted me for the RDX and gave me a ridiculous interest rate!
