Tow hook license plate holders (front)
Anyone got some suggestions? I got swiped at intersection and I will be replacing front bumper. I like the look of them but I don't see a specific one for 4G (2009) TL.

Check "Rho Plate".
That said, I agree with "Justnspace", never been a fan of offset plates. It's either Plates in the center of the car or none at all IMO.
Ultimately though,it's about what you like on your car.

I use a rho plate equivalent, the offset is a little 'ricer', yes, but I wanted the front "ACURA" on our 3G bumpers to show and being in CA, no front plates is not a hassle I wanted to bother with.

Just leave the front plate off.
Cops typically dont care and wont hassle you if you are following the rest of the laws and driving respectfully.
Here in So Cal I see every other car with no front plate or illegal front tint. You wont be hassled unless there is reason to hassle you. They are just fix it tickets in the end. 25$ and you're good to go.

And sure, fix it tickets that are $25 + $60 in court costs.

I ask because ive received a few no front plate tickets as well but all while speeding or when in generally deserved a ticket.
And around here there us no 60 dollar add on. You just take your mailed ticket to the chp office. Show the cop at the counter you have a front plate on then he charges 25 and thats that.
Id ask how often you got your tickets. In the near 3 years ive own the car ive had 2 no plate tickets. So average about once a year and id gladly pay twice that a year to run no front plate.
Its just not that often i get pulled over so the fix it hete and there is plenty worth it.
And my civic has nothing to do with it. Unless it just goes to prove someone with a TL can cling to 25 bucks harder than a civic owner. I guess the car we drive isnt a great judge of class or how deep our pockets are; now is it?
Agreed. But if youre not drunk or buzzed then no worries there. Im not much of a drinker. Cant remember the last beer i had. So driving home from bars doesnt happen often.

I have rhoplate, its not bad.
I had to put in new bolt and washer, cuz the screw came in its b.s.
If not, just get the hide-away electric thing.
It will give it a cleaner look, and just take it back out when you drive and hide it when you park.
Probably gonna do that instead

Would you say cops are pulling you over just to give a no front plate ticket or were you speeding or had another reason to be ticketed?

Virginia is Nazi's when it comes to certain laws. I've had cops literally pull a U-Turn on a 60mph 4 lane highway to hassle me for my front license plate.
I ran my Mazda3 without one for awhile, received 4 no-plate tickets, 2 of those stops I also received window tint tickets. I bought a Rho-plate adapter after that for it.
My S2000 is kind of a cop-magnet anyways, but I don't even want to count how many no front plate tickets I've received. Surprisingly no equipment tickets (exhaust, suspension, etc) I have received 1 tint ticket in it though when I had like 5% tint on it. It's tint-free now.
I'm afraid I'll look too much like a drug dealer in the TL so I'll get pulled.
The worst (frequency) wise for the license plate was being pulled over 4 times over 6 days near Christmas for lack of a plate. 3 State Troopers and 1 local guy. First guy ticketed me, second guy (~1 day later) saw I had a ticket and gave a warning, third guy saw me in the computer system with a pending ticket or something, warning and then fourth guy gave me a ticket.
I went to court for those and had the book thrown at me. Because of prior no front plate tickets he doubled the first fine ($50 from $25) and then doubled it again for the second ($100). So I ended up paying like $300 that day - shit sucked.

Damn and people claim Cali is strict.
I was pulled over less than a month ago. Cop was profiling and pulled me over because he said "it was 2am". In the conversation we had through my window he commented that I has pretty low and had no front plate. But said he wasnt ticketing me for those and let me go once he decided i wasnt out selling drugs.
Both front plate tickets I got were while speeding AND illegal front tint. First time I got only the tint + front plate and he let me off on speeding. Second time I got hit with all 3. Since then I have 1. Slowed down and 2. Took the front side tint off so no the no front plate is my only issue and Ive been fine since.

Why?
You can angle the plates with a Rho-Plate so it follows the angle/curve of the bumper. I always did that in my S2000.
And as an additional thought, if you already have the holes drilled in your bumper, I'd just leave it there. If you don't have the holes drilled, I'd go with the non-destructive approach and go with a tow-hook adapter.
