TL vs ??

wow, you are all over the place with your choices.. Are you wanting to trade in or a second car? Is this a daily driver you want?
Obviously, "most" of us here will say TL but ... only you can make that choice

Well, depending where you live and being you have a Jeep on your list, you must be considering an SUV. I would consider the AWD MDX if you plan on not going off-road. If Off road driving is in your future, you really would need a true 4 Wheel drive.

Considering your choices above, here are my observations. I've owned and still own Toyota's and Nissans. The TL is my first Honda product and so far I am very happy with it.
As for your other choices, I owned a 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 AWD. That truck was a beast. I also sat in the new Grand Cherokee and I love the design and the interior was awesome (plush). But Chryslers are known for their electrical gremlins and always have been.
As for the Lexus/Toyota, I currently have a 1997 4Runner with 158,000 miles and I can't kill the thing. But with Toyota's troubles of late, I am staying away from Toyotas for a couple of years till they get their act together again.
And last the BMW - stay away from BMW's unless you plan on leasing because the reliability and repair bills will kill you and I don't know about you, but I hate visiting the dealer.

do an inventory of what you really need this vehicle for and really will use it for. pen to paper. no fantasy. u gonna be one of those folks with a 4 wheel you'll never take off road (although it could be argued that cali roads are all "off road" nowadays)? u need a daily driver? once you determine whether a car or truck fits the bill...id the cars/trucks u like. do an inventory of whats important to u in a car or truck. then test drive each mulitple times at different dealerships. don't get needy. take your time. read reviews. then do a pros and cons list of each car/truck. finally make a decision understanding that there will be no perfect car and that there will be new and seemingly improved cars coming out all of the time.

What is wrong with the Accord? Honda's are great cars, very reliable and will last you a long time..
I love my TL as do most TL owners... it's a $30K + (used) and closer to $40K + new car for the 4G.

so then why would you question the TL. There are little tweaks and materials that separate the 2 other than the body styling. The TL usually comes with more horse power than the accord. It's still a japanese car. You said you like Japanese cars.
So like most said you have to really question what you want the vehicle for what you expect from it and go from there. There is no right or wrong answer. It's what ever you prefer.
Would def say try test driving a couple different vehicles and go from there.

Man, you are like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs!
The best time to buy is when you have money in your pocket and before Friday night. Give em hell at the dealerships and go buy yourself a car or a truck!

the best time is whenever. just keep an eye out at your dealers you know of and the internet. i've seen low mileage 2004-2008 tl's ranging from 15K-24K. I've even seen 2009-2010 Tl's down to 26K

what kind of response is that for a bmw owner.
yeah i've seen three FWD 09 & 10 TL's for about 26K the AWD's i havent seen for less than 30k which isn't to bad either though.

first off bmw doesn't give you free maintenance till warranty is done, at least not here in canada. my first couple oil changes were free but i had to pay 180$ for every oil change. mind you this car isnt too easy to change the oil on, there isnt even a dipstick and only the dealer can apparently reset the maint schedule properly! i never had to change the brakes or anything they or only a year old...but i have had lots of issues in this one year alone. way too much to list but stuff like bad fuel pump and lots of CELs. didnt cost me anything but the car spent a lot more time in the dealership than in my garage.
stay away from BMW, if you want sport go with Subaru Mitsubishi infinity. as for acura they are very reliable but the styling of new TLs are questionable to me. I think the TSX looks better but then why pay more for a tsx when you can get the accord coupe for cheaper?
if you want my opinion, get a MDX...just my 2 cents.

You are correct, there no longer is a dipstick. It's been controled by sensors for a while now. Let's see how many other car makers do the same thing and lets see how long it takes them.
The Accord is a great choice!

I think the the TL is a good choice. I'm not sure it is the best choice - all depends on what things are important to you. It can be the best choice but you'd have to specificy what is most important for us to give you any feedback.

First off, your statement makes no sense..
so you dont get free maintenance till your warranty expires then you get free oil changes, etc? so if shit breaks during warranty you are not covered? but when it expires you are covered?

bmw gives free maintenance till warranty expires.
you dont have to pay a dime for brakes, rotors, oilchange.
