TL survives Iditarod
Well, not really, but another New England winter has officially begun:

Car performed very well on the slick roadways - I didn't feel any slippage - always felt like it had a good grip. The rear back-up camera helped when the rear windshield was a mess.
But the poor thing is now covered with the same salt/sand mixture that kills all vegetation within twelve feet of our roadways. I'm envious of those of you in the south debating whether Zaino is the best possible car polish...

It's brutal here in Chicago also. Traction on my AWD is pretty good but I still get some slippage now and then, esp. rounding sharp corners. I'm getting 18" Dunlop snow tires fitted tomorrow so that I can have some real fun in the winter time!

TL-I'm in Metrowest Boston and took the TL-AWD for a test drive on Saturday during the lingering snow storm. I figured it was the best time to see how it handles. What a fantastic ride. I'm and avid fan of Acura (been driving them since my 91 Integra GS) and once I drove this, I knew I had to get one.
The dealer was willing to negotiate and I got them down to 37k for the AWD non tech less trade of my 04. I pick it up sometime this week.
Apparently I was the first sale of the week for the dealer. Guess they really wanted to make their numbers for the year end.

That's just low Colin...LOL. Is that Diamond Head in the background? It's 40 degrees here in LA and raining, so sorry to say this means more is headed your way TLornotTL. Those shots are winter postcards! Love it!

Congratulations! The dealers are really good at making it seem like there's nothing wrong with the economy and that they're doing fine, but it sounds like you got a great deal. (so did I)
And for you Colin... enjoy that weather for the rest of us!!

Speaking of which.....Funny story...I was in Maui five years ago and right when we exited the gate at the airport, I saw a welcoming party greeting some Japanese tourists, and one guy from the welcoming party yelled at the Japanese tourists who just got off the plane..."Welcome to your Island." I laughed my head off!

Heh. That was probably more true in the '80's but these days there is much less Japanese investment in island property. I find it funny how someone would go out of the way to 'bite the hand' that feeds them.
