Tint Question

Hey guys/gals. I just got a 2010 CBP SH-AWD 6M/T.

My first order of business is to get some tint applied. I have been reading a bunch of posts and looking at tint %'s, however i had one question that i cant seem to find an answer to.

Do the 4th Gen TL's need moleskin like the 3G TL's to prevent scratching?

On an side note, I noticed the shift knob is loose. The whole shift knob twists left and right. Is this common?

Yeah i tightened it just fine... i was a tad confused because when i tried to tighten it, the leather cover turned with it.. Had to pop that off, tighten, and pop it back on...

Have you decided on a tint %?

Congrats on the new ride! Great color choice and you will love the MT. I JUST got mine tinted last week, absolutely loving it. I debated and finally got 35% all around. My fiance has 50% all around. Here are a couple pics to give you a comparison.....unfortunately they are both from the phone so not too great quality wise.

35%

50%

Both cars also have black interiors.

Actually I have been looking over the photo gallery trying to decide. I was thinking somewhere in the 15-25% range.

I saw your car with 15%, how do you like it? How much lighter does it look on a sunny day(no clouds)? Also, can you see out of them at night?

I have 20% all around on my CBP. I love it! I honestly wouldn't mind it a bit darker. The only issue I have is at night in the rain, it's a bit difficult at times to see as clearly as I would like, though it's still not super bad.

15% is perfect IMO. It gives a good amount of shade / privacy during the day and you can still see out at night. I had 5% on a couple of my past cars and it was just too dark at night.
