I like the 4G better, side by side the 3G looks dated and plain. Interestingly most -not all- guys who hate the 4G and "throw up" just bought a 2007 or 2008 TL. I would feel the same if I just spent >30Ka brand new old looking car.

You know, people have complained alot about the new TL. Then we've had people complaining about people complaining about the new TL. The 4G police are outnumbered on AcuraZine. It seems like the majority don't like the new exterior design. Now, I said the majority....so let's not start!

I just spent slightly over $30k on an '08 so I'm not totally unbiased BUT I did consider waiting for the '09's. When I saw the pics, my decision was made. I personally could not own a car with a grille that looks like that.
I am not a hater though I like the rest of the car, there are many improvements. I have sat in one and like the interior, but there is not one thing that I have seen so far that makes me regret going with the "old" design. I have always liked the 3rd Generation design from the moment I saw it.
I think that Acura has a decent design that they can build on with the 4th Generation, the platform definately has possibilities and I think that they will do some exciting things with the new TL. I think that they will sell very well when the economy stabilizes. For me however, the one thing that would have to be at the top of the list before they can sell me one is to "tweak the beak".

OK, I was parked next to a WDP 09 TL... I have a 08 WDP TL-S.... 3G TL is meaner looking hands down, the shape, the lines, the sexy ass...so exterior wise, 3G hands down.. Interior, I do like the new 4G TL. And the real beauty about 07-08 TL-S, they are rare!

Crap seeing that first picture of the two SSMz together I realized somthing.
THE 4G LOOKS "NEW" LOL I dont know the more I look at it, the more "allright" its starting to look. I mean cmon guys, the grille can always be changed out. After all this forum is all about modification right?
Private note: I hope i dont see a 4G with KBP. That will suck

...No it doesn't, the 3G TL-S is so much sportier and agressive. Yesterday a guy and his girlfriend (apparently) looked at my TL-S and and gave me the thumbs up and continued to nod at my car...and my car was actually kinda dirty

Looking for new mods
I just feel the 4g lost the sportiness that the TL had. That what I mostly dont like about it. Its a luxury sedan........sport wont fit in the sentece

I believe that's what Acura has intended all along. They wanted to go more "upscale" with the TL in the 4G....more refinement and more luxury. To me, the TL was never a true sports sedan in the first place.....for me, it was always a "sporty" luxury sedan. The only "true" sports sedans in my book are the BMW 335i, M3 sedan, and the Audi RS4.
