Thinking about selling my 2012 TL SH AWD

Thinking about selling my 2012 TL SH AWD with Technology package and I'm wondering what a fair price would be for private sale. It has 18,xxx miles. Silver with black leather interior, automatic. Only mod was window tint.

What do you think would be a fair price?

KBB is a great source. My 12 SH AWD Advanced shows resale about 32K for private sale

OP, your car is at its prime right now. Don't sell it unless you must (lost job, divorce, etc.)

Otherwise, with the hit you'll take, you might have just as well rented a car.

I find the websites are over inflated the last year or 2, KBB, Edmunds, etc. All seem to be showing trade in values higher than any dealer is willing to pay. On a trade it is good to know what the auction prices on your vehicle have been running as that is what most dealers will use unless they plan on reselling your car directly. For private sale, you can use the web sites as a gauge, but also scan Carmax and other local dealers to see what they have similar cars on their lots for to see how realistic your expectations will be.

I agree with the above... you're going to lose on this deal.

$33,400 (give or take ~$600-$1000 depending on your location) is what it should sell for to a private party. You can find a similar CPO for $35,000-$36,000 though which is going to take the market away from yours so in the end I would think you'd be hard pressed to get more than $32,000 for it. Average dealer trade is price is $30,000-$30,800

Just my 2 cents though. Your car is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Stealerships I love how they say, "Well sir Kelley Blue Book has that car at $..." then when you go trade the car off, "Oh, well Kelley Blue Book is high, your car isn't worth that much."

Tough to say but like other have mentioned don't sell unless you have to. $32k should be the lowest you should take for that car with those few miles. Bearing everything is in great shape, interior, body paint.

Most dealers don't use KBB. They use the NADA "Black Book". They'll use that fact as an excuse almost every time.

I wouldn't sell it unless you were wanting to save up for the new NSX.

i dont know any potential buyers have that much cash in hand unless you can finance. otherwise, it will be a huge loss for you to sell it back to the dealership

NSX? Ain't nobody got money for that!

Personally, I'm so broke I'd be lucky if my next car had a totally different three letter name...
