Test drove '12 TL

So I lost my job today, and on my way home I was about to pass the Ac dealership over here in NJ and a white '12 TL was out front and it was screaming "drive me" lmao, so I went in and test drove the SHawd. The car is beautifully built and drives fantastic, eats bumps and pot wholes like there not even there (strange for an acura)! What an improvement from my year (08). The shifting was barely noticeable and the 6speed AT is a nice touch that should have been done years ago but whatever. All in all I really loved this years model and when I am in good financial shape, I'm considering a lease for sure!! I was miserable when I lost my job of course and still am but the test drive really made my day. Any of you guys drive the new 12SHAWD?? Whats your feedback in comparison with your current TL?

I havent even attempted to go test drive '12 TL SH-AWD. I'd have to much fun with a car that I can't afford. It's like having a hot girl tease you. lol but very sorry about losing your job, especially this time a year. Hope you land another one ASAP!!!

It sounds fine to me, I have other income coming in besides from the job I lost today. But of course now things are going to be tight. The plan was just to test out the new TL not to go in and make a deal, no near future plans of buying one either. I said considered in the future, prob won't though. Lets see what they bring to us in 13 etc.!

Agreed lol. I just wanted to see if they have progressed since the last gen, they did a great job. 3.7 was nice.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job. Things will get better. Trust me! This happened to me 7 years ago. I purchased a CPO Honda accord coupe and was laid off 3 days later after purchasing the car. I felt like utter shit. A month later, I traded that car in for the 3G TL. Seven years later I'm riding in a 4G. You only live once.

sorry about your bad day im sure it helped a little to take the 4g for a test run. be careful as the others said, its dangerous to window shop when its not a reality to buy. you can get that tl in your head - and it wont go away! then you might rationalize a way to buy it.

you are driving a very nice tl now - 08. so you got that goin for you. i know its tough, but stay patient and that shawd will be there when your ready.

Losing a job isn't always bad. Some will be compensated with such hefty severance packages that can be used to buy cars.
