Hello Everyone,

So today I raced my friend who is also a TL enthusiast, he has a 2007 TL mooded with the cold air intake, headers, j pipe and the exaust. Needless to say me and my stock SH-AWD and his modded TL were very close. I ended up winning by about half a hood length. He was talking about making a few more additions to his car so very soon I will not be able to beat him. What additions should I make to my car to remain in the lead?? If possible also what do I need to be able to beat my friends 2013 challenger with the SRT-8??

To beat the SRT-8 you need a new car....

to remain ahead of the other TL, the easiest thing would be to drop weight from the car.

the 3G TL is lighter than the 4G and will encroach and may even surpass the heavy 4G.
even with mods, if you dont drop weight the 3G TL will still be VERY close behind

and agreed, the SRT is the faster car.

Slap an SRT-9 sticker on your car. That'll show both of them up.

Get a set of light weight rim and tires. Before the match, remove the spare tire.

Cut his brake lines. You'll win by default.

If you're winning by half a hood length it's a drivers race. Honestly I thought I'd never see a thread like this here, honda-tech Civic forums sure, but not here LOL

Seems like the 4th Gen should start to pull away after you clear 50 mph. Even with the extra weight it's still 3.7 vs 3.2 I think. No SC and not going to suggest nitrous lol. There was someone up here doing burnouts or 4 wheel peel or something, might want to get with them. I can understand racing other Acuras but to take on new cars sporting a V8 really doesn't make sense
