Strike Force vs Ziebart

Can someone offer some advice on whether to go with the strike force protection offered by the dealer for $650 (good for 5 yrs) or the Ziebart protection for $275 (reapply annually)... I live in Ohio and want to apply some type of protection to my paint against the snow and salt. Help me please!!! I cannot seem to find any info online regarding the quality of strike force... Thanks in advance!

I have no knowledge of either of these products, but I would caution you against buying either one on general principles. It smacks of the old con of selling rust protection well after manufacturers had rust protected the cars adequately already. Dealers are working on small margins and make big margins on add-ons like this. First look at the paint protection provided by Acura and compare to the other contracts (if you have not already done so), and consider what the cost would be to make any needed repairs on your own. Others may want to chime it re front end bras.

take a pass dude, for the price of the ziebart, you can get a dual action oribital polisher like the porter cable 7424xp, some polish, synthetic sealant and some pads and detail your car...then you have all the stuff to deail your car once a year or better...a good quaility synthetic sealant like 4 star ultimate paint protection will out protect either one of thoes, and at 30 bucks a bottle, will do your car atleast a dozen times...

It's all and a scam to separate you from your money.

The car is galvanized and rust protected at the factory by the experts who made it. Anything added is a waste, IMO.

In the car business, these dealer-added items are known as profit boosters.

I brought mine home raw and then detailed it myself, sealing the paint with Zaino which I repeat about once a year. It's almost 7 years old and still looks show room.

Do not give the dealer any money for these treatments. They are a total scam. Go and buy some sealant like Blackfire wet diamond(my fav) or Zaino and/or wax to protect your car from the elements.

Waste of money, all they do is slap some 15 dollar sealant on and charge you over 500 dollars
