Speaking of next car, 2016 Accord or TLX?

This Accord have an exterior now that can be comparable with TLX. It also got 19" & heated rear seats and by the way its about 12K cheaper (Touring vs TLX-awd adv) and btw use regular fuel.

TLX need to upgrade big time!

Also, wait until the 2016 TLX is announced. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison.

I thnk the redesign is nice, if it's really that much cheaper than a TLX, I can see some acura owners migrating over.

Cheers,

Nick

I'm driving a TLX today as a service loaner and IMO it's a noticeable step down from the TL in terms of interior quality/feel - feels almost exactly like a fully-loaded Accord.

If you don't need the AWD, I think it would be silly to buy the TLX instead of the Accord.

OP What is this thread about? I haven't wanted an accord since the '95 body style. For many money isn't an issue, so it's personal choice regardless of general opinion. The Accord could have heated steering wheels, ventilated front seats, and stock 20's but it's just not what I want right now. If I had the choice between a 2016 Accord with Nav and a TLX w/ Tech I'd take the TLX or TL all day.

I remember when the 94/95 accord came out - it was one of the best accords.

Agreed. I had a 95 Accord EX. It was sporty and reliable. Looked great too.

The new Accord is a great car. The TLX is more refined though.

The Accord is still in a different price class than the TLX and it needs this bump. I think it looks great and hope it gives Honda the edge.

Well, the other thread was asking what will be your next car?

If ever I decide to change car, I think its between this (2016) Accord Touring or the TLX.

Im still trying to convince myself not to get the SH-AWD next time but I know its probably going to be hard to compare the (SH) handling vs FWD.

The 2016 Accord looks pretty good and it's going to be available in a V6 6MT

The Accord will be a great package for sure. I really hope the 9AT in the V6 models do not have the software issues the TLX has....

Not saying you're wrong because you may know something I don't, but every article I've seen on the '16 V6 Accords indicates the Accord will continue with the 6 spd automatic.

Wow, the new accord looks really great.

Honestly I almost bought a 2015 accord sport because I love how they look and the price difference is so huge...but I wanted to wait because I know how honda loves to do that mid-model refresh.

I like it....more than the TLX, not sure. But for the money, it looks good. I think I like the 18" accord sport wheels better though.

Ya know, I think you're correct. I probably mis-read something.
