Soon to be SH-AWD 6MT owner...pricing question

Hi guys,

I currently have an 03 Accord V6 6MT and an 03 S2000 that I'm selling to get into a 13 TL SH-AWD 6MT. I didn't think I'd even like the car, but I absolutely fell in love with it - it's the only car I've driven that has all of the good characteristics of my Accord and then some. And even some S2000 DNA!

There are a few Acura dealers in my area and two of them have 6MT TL's in stock. The dealer closest to me offered a black one to me at $39,8 without me even negotiating. I am going to the other dealer next week since they have the gray color that I like better. Can some of you new owners let me know how much you've been paying for the car, and if your dealership has thrown in any 'extras'? My plan next week is to get both dealers to try to beat each other next week, and possibly trade in the S2K if one will give me full book value for it.

I'm shocked that these cars are going for under invoice and I think under $40k is already a very good price for the car, just curious as to what other's experience has been in purchasing the car.

Thanks!
Chris

I paid 35,995 for my 2012 sh-awd 6mt. The price included a $1000 loyalty rebate.

Not sure about the S2K DNA, but it is a good move up from the Accord (My Accord had too many miles to trade though).

Remember, be sure to ask for a freebie/at cost item before you close the deal. Dealers will usually cave on things like;

Winter protection package (mud guards, floor mats, etc.)
Free Lube, Oil & Filter for life
Upgraded wheels and tires
Trunk tray
Tint
Etc

Ask them to do it at cost and then you will be happy to sign the transaction.

Thanks! My Accord has 235k miles and it still drives like new. I'm only getting rid of it because I now get a vehicle allowance at work and I need to buy a new car to get it. I won't be trading it though.

I feel a little S2k in the balance and transmission. But this may only be a rationalization to convince myself I can live without a sports car.

I wanted the S2K but the wife insisted on a four door with accommodations for a baby seat.

Same here, but I was fortunate enough to have an S2K grandfathered in to our marriage

I paid $12k for her in 2011, and I got a trade in offer of $13k after putting 25k more miles on it. Appreciating used vehicles
