I must say, I am VERY disappointed with the new tail lights

The MMC should be of no surprise to anybody. historically, acura does the same exact things

99-01 (3 years) 2G TL
02-03 (2 years) 2.5G TL, New Headlights, New Grille, New Taillights, Different Wheels, Type-s Model

04-06 (3 years) 3G TL
07-08 (2 years) 3.5G TL, New Headlights, New Grille, New Taillights, Different Wheels, Type-S Model

09-11 (3 years) 4G TL
12-13 (2 years) 4.5G TL, New Headlights, New Grille, New Taillights, Different Wheels

usually the 2nd round of a generation gets better look additions. Aside from the blacked headlights, i prefer everything from the 09-11 body more.

The window tint will be the first thing I get done. You know how it is in H-town. I did the same to the '08 a couple of days after I bought it.

holy shit, in the pic of the white 12' with the flag, it really shows how much the front end is similar to the 3G! Its like practically the same! I gotta say that looks damn sexy...if I were to get a 12' it would definitely be white on black.

OMG, the 1st shot car on right, front end side view, reminds me of a Ford Taurus... not liking the new front on the '12s (except the blacked out lights and "naked" fogs, of course)...

There in lies the problem, that's regression not progression. But the 5G will solve all that. Overall, nice car though.

No way it even resembles the butt ugly Taurus. I looked at the Taurus SHO when I was shopping and, ewww... no way. Folks here whine about '12 looking like an old ladies car... well, the Taurus truly fits that bill.

The Taurus is getting a face-lift really soon too...Hey, I test drove the SHO extensively, but it felt huge. One of my older sisters was with me and she made the comment, "This is like Bill(her hubby) Continental." Not the comment I was looking for, LOL!

This is a great comparison pic. And IMO, the new base ZDX-esque 17's are exponentially better than the 09-11 17's

Literally, if you put the cross-bar style grille and made the lower air intakes more horizontal, it would be exactly like the 3G in front. But that's not a bad thing, you see, cars are supposed to have a natural evolution not a mutation like what suddenly happen in 09! It just didn't make sense that the TL had this giant schnoz when none of their other vehicles beak was that big and overdone. It should have been like this from day 1 in 09 if you ask me.

Perhaps, or some evolved look of the 3G grille. If you look at the the grille over the years it's apparent they modified it a bit during the life-cycle. I told my little nephew the shield could be removed and used to fight evil, like Captain America. LOL!

Sorry, I don't see the resemblence.
But with 365 HP and 0-60 in 5.2 seconds it WILL spank the TL on the race track.

I agree on the styling point (other than they're both white).

But the performance issue, I have to disagree. Those are the same 0-60 times as the 4G 6MT. And I highly doubt that the Taurus could hang with the SH-AWD TL in the turns.

My guess is that the TL-AWD spanks the Ford on a road course and runs about even at the drag strip. (At least a 6MT TL).

I agree accept, I think that the 04-06 base looks better than the 07-08 Base and the stock rims looked way better on the 04-06.
