Should I pull the negative after XLR8 J-pipe, HFC, and exhaust install?
I just had the XLR8 J-pipe, HFC, and exhaust installed in my new 2012 SH-AWD 6spd, but I don't think the shop pulled the battery's negative terminal. As I understand it, that will force the ECU to relearn and you see more performance gains. Any truth to that in anyone’s experience? If so, after you do that reset do you just enter the radio/nav codes and you’re good?
I ask because I had a previous car that I swapped the battery on and it turned out that I had to take in to have the auto windows “re-synced” so they worked again. So I’m just wondering if there are any special things that need to be done after a reset?
I did some searching but couldn’t come up with anything, so your answers are very appreciated.
Thanks everyone
