Should I buy this or wait for something better??

hey i need some help deciding whether or not i should pursue this car deal or not...

im looking at a 2009 TL w/nav thats internet priced at $25k. it has 41k miles on it and was put into service in august 2009.

the carfax is clean, no accidents/damages reported. was a lease vehicle. its black with a white interior. i have not seen the car yet in person but will go look at it tonight after work.

assuming the car looks in excellent condition, do you think this should be something that i should move on asap or wait for something better to come along. the only reason im hesitating is because of the miles. 41k seems a little much. but is the price fair or should i try to negotiate some?

any help would be awesome!

thanks!!

i think you can do better.

41k miles at 25k seems steep.

theres guys here buying SH-AWD with tech for 29k with 30k miles.

Black with Taupe? Blah. What an odd combo. Does that look good? I would bet that's an rare color combination as most people want black on black.

I have black with taupe interior. I couldn't get that combo in Canada, so had to go to the US for it. I just like the lighter interior. In my Mdx, I also have the taupe interior.

Price seems a little high, but there should be some room to play with.

so i went and looked at the car today and it looks pretty good aside from a few minor scratches. The only thing I noticed was that the car was pulling to the right when i took it for a test drive. Is this something that I should be cautious about? the first thing i thought of was that it needs to be realigned, but what if that doesnt solve the issue? The tread on the tires seems even.

After looking on KBB, it seems like this car is priced very competitively. This is not a certified acura and isnt being sold by a dealer. So with that being said, what should i do? I could take it to the dealership and have them inspect it, but is that worth my time?

Also, an odd thing I saw was an oval piece of rubber on the trunk of the vehicle. It was literally in the center, on the surface of the trunk. I dont recall seeing it on another TL w/nav. I didnt take a pic of it but I was wondering if anyone else's TL has that?

thanks

I'd stay away from used cars that is pulling left or right. Especially the ones that are not CPO and not from a dealership. Voting No

If the price was right, I'd have the dealership get an alignment done on the car as a deal maker or breaker. Cars get out of alignment but doesn't necessariluy mean it's a bad car IF and only if, that is all that is apperently wrong with the car.

any thoughts on what the black rubber piece is on the trunk? i wish i took a pic of it but i forgot. Its so odd...

its on trunk lid. in the center right underneath the window. i would say it might be a GPS antenna but I havent seen any other TLs with anything close to that on the exterior of the car...

I got my '09 TL w/Tech package, certified pre-owned for 31K, and it had 27K miles on it. It was in great condition and don't think I got the best price ever, but still a pretty good price.

What do you guys think?

I've never seen a 4G with any rubber piece on the trunk, and with the car pulling to the left I would stay away from it.

As far as the black and taupe interior it actually looks very good IMO, however I'm biased as it's the color combo I picked out for my TL.

Good luck in your search/purchase!

thank you all!

ive decided to just pass on this tl, as it has a few too many concerns and its only the first one ive seen.

Im just going to keep looking. I think the price was just too good. And you know what they say...if it seems to good to be true...it probably is..

at $25,400 he was around $2k under the KBB Private Party Value I think. But like I said, too many red flags.

Thanks though for everyone's input! Much appreciated!

Keep looking, try your best to be patient. Sometimes it's tough, but you'll find the right TL.

I just bought my '09 SH-AWD with 22k miles for $29,500. I looked at a couple cars like the one you describe and they were priced just under that at about $28.9. It was a no brainer for me to go with the SH-AWD.
