Should I buy a 2013 TL 6MT?

Kinda tired of my Cls6speed and it’s problems, and wanted to upgrade.
However I am reading about rattles and excessive oil consumption I’m not sure if I want to deal with more issues from something newer.
other option is to just hold out till end of this year and buy my dads accord when his finishes his lease. 2.0t 2018 Accord.will be laying a few grand more but lot newer and lot less miles.

the 2013 4g shawd one I’m looking at has 122k miles, he’s asking 10.9k
What do you think?

Tough choice. I have a 13’ TL manual...love it. Last year test drove the 6sp Accord sedan. I absolutely love my TL and stayed with that. The AWD is just too much fun.
I usually trade my cars in every two years after getting bored of them...I set a personal record with this TL...6years!! My wife is actually telling me to get a new car.
With that said, the milage difference your looking at may be too much..i think i would grab your dads accord if you can handle it financially. I have 34k miles on mine so pretty much only reason Im holding onto it.
The Accord is a great car with noticeable more rear leg room. The turbo is a nice addition as well. And with you dad being the previous and only owner you will have peace of kind that its a good car.
I would hate to steer anyone away from the the TL but in this case I would say go with the accord. (If you were looking at nearly any other car i would have said go with the TL!)
let us know what u did!

We have an 09 TL SH-AWD and there are no rattles - there are rattles in my 06 TL for sure...

Not every single 3.7 TL will have excessive oil consumption - with that being said, if it's well maintained & if you don't mind checking/filling the oil every now and then in exchange for torque vectoring AWD awesomeness, I'd for sure take AWD over FWD

I absolutely love my 09' SH. No rattles at all and it only burns about a quart to quart and a half every 5k miles. The torque vectoring is a blast. Sound system is MUCH better than the accord too. ELS surround is amazing. Only problem with the Accord is its FWD. Traction was a bit of an issue when i test drove one spiritedly. Wish it was offered with an LSD like the Civic Si. Reminded me of my TSX V6 and why i got rid of it. Hated that i was basically burning out every time i wanted to pull out into a busy intersection and not get rear ended.

Band-aid the CL-S until your dad's Accord lease is up, buy out that lease and dump the CL. The Accord will be a much cheaper car to own in the long run as it has far fewer miles and not as many complex mechanical systems to maintain vs. the SH-AWD TL.

My TL with 124k miles has no rattles but it did have a major oil consumption issue that was thankfully taken care of.

I had a 6MT CLS before my 2013 6MT TL and both are good in their own respects but drive totally different. The AWD is a lot more fun, but its a heavier feeling car. That being said, the TL chassis feel and road noise is a lot better than the Accords of the past (I can't speak for the last 6 years or so of Accords) The stereo is better for sure too. The MT and AWD are worth it in my opinion. Even if they do burn some oil that is fine I guess, German cars dd - and if it is excessive, Acura fixes them up to 120k.
