what is the material lining made of?

Not 100% sure, but I think it's some sort of plastic covered in a felt like substance. I believe that's to reduce the road noise.

The 3G is like that too...it's a felt like material but it definitely isn't felt. It can stand up to mud etc...best way to clean it is with a rim brush and lots of soap and then spray it down.

..I thought it was felt, I have never seen a wheel well with a felt liner..Thanks for the cleaning tip
