Question SH-AWD Fog/Turn Signal Direct Swap to Non SH-AWD

Hey Everyone,

I really like the look of the silver fog bezel and turn signal setup within the SH-AWD, is it a direct swap to us that do not have it?

I've been looking into this as well for a while. Seem's like it's part of the whole SHAWD brake duct.

If you live in the MW, or anywhere where you'll be driving in snow you'll hate that silver piece. Mine has so many black spots where the paint has been chipped and I only have 4400 miles on my TL.

I have the same thing with the chipped silver paint. Of course you can repaint it...but constantly!

Once you repaint it and clearcoat it with a high solids clear, it should be fine.

I was looking to do this as well. I believe everything I've seen it's a direct swap.

Oh I don't know. Not sure how to start something like that. Maybe with one of our Acura sponsors?

I PM'd acurapartssource about a possible group buy. He said he needed to know about how many people. So I guess we should start a list.

I can ask my parts manager, how many people are we talking for a group buy?

I got them from my local Acura. They gave me a discount. You only need two parts (bezel and lamp). They thought I needed the back plastic bracket, but really it is just the same as the NON-AWD bracket, it was only 7 bucks each. No biggie.

I'll check the reciept for part #'s

Looks like these are the part numbers...

71107-TK5-A00ZA -- MESH, L. IN. (LOWER) $59.86
71102-TK5-A00ZA -- MESH, R. IN. (LOWER) $59.86
33301-TK5-A01 -- LIGHT UNIT, R. FR. TURN SIGNAL $76.90
33351-TK5-A01 -- LIGHT UNIT, L. FR. TURN SIGNAL $76.90

Those prices are from Bernardi Acura... Some dealers may be able to do better pricing...

What are the right part numbers!

Hi....I desperately need to know the exact part numbers needed to do this mod!

I just found that the drivers side lense on my "TL" is broken....now how the hell it happened I do not know (left it recently in a park & fly for a week, maybe thats when)!

Don't recall any loud cracks or the like, but needs to be replaced asap. If I can swing it, would much prefer to do this mod! Never really liked the long silver slits!

Also..does bumper have to come off to do? Or can it be reached by jacking front of car up? Please help man. Am in a bind here.

Cheers

Well, it is pretty simple, once you get the bumper off, you just take out the old screws and the one bolt and swap it all. Pictures and a write up is not really needed, it is quite simple

Just did mine!

Just had mine switched over on my palladium silver base TL. Must say thanks to all for the help.

IMHO opinion looks much better and these will be less likely to break due to rocks and such.

Hell, even the silver ends match the colour of the car more closely and seem to more of an integrated design.

Why Acura did not do for all models is beyond me.

Cheers

Bringing thia back from the dead, how do you remove just the silver fog bezel from the intake? Clips? Screws? Do you really need to take the whole bumper off to remove that? I have a 2010 sh-awd and the silver is all chipped up. I want to sand smooth and vinyl wrap them but don't want to break them trying to get them off

i am sure you can remove the silver bezel without the bumper being off.

should be held with screws and clips.. i mean what else can hold it on the bumper? lol

that silver trim is a part of that whole bezel piece. From factory, it is masked off and sprayed.

you have to remove the bumper.

Ik this thread is REALLY old but I am now trying to do this swap and I can only find part that looks like it’s missing a top piece. Almost as if you have to buy 3 separate pieces now instead of 2. Idk the help would be greatly appreciated.
