So I am going to reupholster my driver side seat in a few months and I'm also going to be replacing my bottom cushion and I was looking on an acura parts website for a cushion and I noticed that the driver side cushion is quite a bit more expensive than the passenger side cushion. Is it the same cushion? Will it really matter what side it is on?

If you’re reupholstering anyway, i would just go find a good condition but possibly ripped seat at a junkyard and replace it rather than go brand new

I mean I like brand new stuff and I work for a dealer that sells acura and im able to get discounted parts

They have two separate part numbers; therefore, they are different.
Part # 81537-TK4-A11 designates the left side.
Part # 81137-TK4-A11 designates the right side.


Have you ever tried to wear your left side shoe on the right side foot?

As thoiboi mentions, if you are set on a replacement left cushion search car-part.com for you local area (six located in Virginia now, $150-$228).
The part #'s above are shared between 09-14 TL's, with that spread in model years you should be able to find something in reasonable condition?
You'll just have to 'put in' a little more work; otherwise, pay the net $$$ with your discount & be done.
