Scotch....Guard
Ok, it's late on a Friday afternoon and I'm about to walk out of the office.
At the risk of sounding like I'm over the top, has anyone ever scotch guarded their carpets in their TL? In my previous vehicles, I've tried every floor mat possible (OEM, Husky, WeatherTech, you name it!) and I've always found salt stains from our lovely Canadian winters in the spring. I'm pretty religious in cleaning them (which is a daunting task) and I can never seem to get all of it out.
Has anyone tried this? If so, what was the result?

The last few cars I've owned, I've sprayed the carpets and the factory mats with ScotchGuard. It seems to work rather well. Stains on the mats just clean off with a wet rag and mild detergent. However, in my neck of the woods, there is hardly any snow, maybe once every five years and just enough to powder the ground. Needless to say, I don't deal with salt. So I can't say that it would work in that sort of environment. For regular dirt, it works OK. I respray about every three months.

Jim, I've not done it to my cars, but I've heard it works well.
