Roof wing

hey guys i bought a roof wing for my tl and i cleaned everything really good before installing it. I used the 3m double sided tape and after a few days the wing started to unglue. i was told that i should of used a extra glue on top of the 3m. im thinking of just taking the wing off and reapplying new 3m tape and buying a glue. what glue should i buy? or what should i dO?

I took off the original tape and reapplied 10lbs 3M and it's good to go now. A lot wider and stronger. I bought glue as well but never used it.

Yeah , went to home depot and brought the industrial strength tape. Removed the cheap stuff that came on it. I think it was 3/4 wide. I know you get two strip on the wing.

Cleaned glass with windex followed by alcohol. Applied in the sun with glass hot. Once the sun went down I put the car I'm the garage. Next day it will take a chisel and hammer to get loose.

Good advice from dirtyo, I also applied it on a sunny day and used a heat gun on both my window & the spoiler to prepare them for adhesion. To guarantee a strong bond I also used nearly 1/2 the tube of silicone provided.

Remove, clean both sides, put new tape, heat both sides on an already warm day and then apply with plenty of silicone.
