REI has a 20% off single item that ends today. Also if you purchase 300+ dollars for a yakima rack of any kinda, you get 30 dollars rebated from them. (40 for 400 or 50 for 500).

I picked up a yakima roof rack and it delivers tomorrow.

REI is a shop that sells all kinds of outdoor sport accessories. They have good prices and if you become a member ($20 one time) you get 10% cash back on all your purchases.

The Yakima Ski Rack took me about an hour to install. Not hard but it's much easier with one more person. The hard part is getting all the measurements correct.

Goto Yakima.com and see what options they have. For bicycles, you can get a hitch or a roof rack.

You can get a towing hitch installed, the kind with a square tube mount. Then you can get a hitch/tow mount bicycle rack that holds 2 or 3 bikes.

I am thinking of going that route.

Hitch mounted racks are good if you infrequently will be using the rack as I find it a pain to take mine on / off. Also, if you have a bike you want to keep in perfect condition then this is not the best way to go as the you get some limited rubbing of the rack on the top tube (i.e. my custom road bike only goes in the back of the SUV and not on the car hitch rack).

On the plus side - no wind noise - areo drag and it is easier to remove than a roof rack plus you can use the hitch for towing if ever necessary.

I have a Saris bones 3 and it is trunk mounted and goes on and off in a few minutes. It is ok for one bike and short trips, but it really needs a bumper to support it properly, which the 4G lacks.
