Price Check
I have a Merc C230 Kompressor that I would like to trade in for a '09 TL. Wondering what the new TL is going for. I am also looking for an extended warranty package. Any suggestions on which dealer is good and price ranges for those? Thanks.

The TL base starts around $35K, Tech package is about $39K, and the upcoming SH-AWD version is around $42-43K. Dealers are not discounting just yet.....maybe next spring.

Did you get the extended warranty with yours?? Or at least priced it out?? BTW, your color looks good! Might look at it when I go to the stealer!

I'm leasing my car so no need for extended warranty. In my opinion, you don't need extended warranties for reliable brands like Honda or Toyota.....for a Chevy or Ford, maybe.

I used to think that until I owned a Nissan Murano and the tranny died on me at 68k miles. Really bad customer (dis)service from Nissan and no extended warranty made me change my mind.

I strongly suggest getting the extended warranty. check online pricing for the extended warranty As far as pricing there are no discounts. I would just wait till spring.

Economy and banking situation today I would bet discounts by XMAS. My sales guy said he might be able to do near invoice next month, but then that is probaly becasue I have bought three 3G TLs and a used Lexus from them in 2 years. But I would have to want a 4G and right now the styling is not attracting me. Then again maybe I can approach and leave the car in the dark as the interior is OK.

Why did you replace your car so often? Something went wrong with your purchases?

I flip my cars often. I did have my 04 from about 2 years, then got an 06 navi. 8 months later gas was $3+ and I said enough of this and got a more economical car. 5 months of that and missed my TL, said screw the cost of gas and got an 07 TL. 8 months later I advertised that on Craigs List and had a buyer in 1 day, thought I was going to get a 07 G35, but hated the super sensitive on/off acceleration. Fell in love with 08 Type-S. Drove that 8 months decdied I woudl seeif I coudl sell it and try an 08 G35 as they fixed the acceleration issue. Sold the Type-S in 1 day and drove G35 a few times and missed the Type-S ride (it really is awesome) and got another 08 Type-S. I never loose money on the cars except the economical car I drove for a few months and even that I only lost a few hundred. I get great deals when I buy to I can sell them in a year usually for what I owe. Funny thing is I still have an itch for G35 and with $4K off under invoice right now I am tempted again, but knowing this is the last 3G Type-S has me wanting to keep it a while longer.
